CANARY WHARF LONDON

Timber Construction – Cross rail Station

The new cross rail station in Canary Wharf is a real eye catcher in the otherwise simple and consistent business district. Work on the massive wooden roof construction was completed in 2014. The cross rail station resembles a sailing ship with its wooden roof and is reminiscent of the former maritime trade. The elegant but also massive wooden structure stretches over 300 meters in length.
